Ric Ortega on the benefits of USBR water deliveries-

"The Grassland Ecological Area encompasses the largest contiguous block of the last remaining five percent of wetlands left in California. It is integral to the Pacific flyway and the ten million birds that migrate through the Central Valley each year.

Local partnerships with farmers and irrigation districts are essential to meeting the needs of these last remaining wetlands. CVP deliveries to these wetland and agricultural districts are critical to the health of the flyway and the diverse wildlife this region supports."
